Sinto-me obrigado a fazer propaganda deste excelente jornal online judeu ortodoxo americano (site: http://www.jewishworldreview.com/).

Top 10 Reasons that more Blacks and Hispanics are Converting to Islam
By Julia Gorin (bio)

African-Americans and Hispanics — especially Latinas — have been converting to Islam at a higher rate since 9/11.

The figures aren’t precise, but Lawrence Mamiya, professor of religion at Vassar College, recently told Reuters he estimates there are up to two million black Muslims in America. And the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) estimate there to be 40,000 Latino Muslims in the U.S., with Latinos accounting for six percent (and rising) of the nation’s 20,000 annual conversions to Islam.

This calls for the Top 10 Reasons why more Blacks and Latinos are Converting to Islam after 9/11:

10. Just can’t get enough of that ethnic profiling stuff.

9. Don’t like Jews or dogs either.

8. Muslims are the “new black man” and I just don’t feel black enough.

7. How else will the black man finally get to rule the world — without being “articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy” for Senator Biden?

6. Want to get in on the Muslims’ lucrative African slave trade.

5. Spanglish is so ’90s; it’s all about Sparabic now.

4. Always wanted to be faithful to my husband; now I don’t have a choice.

3. Assembling bombs pays better than growing cocaine.

2. “Su casa es mi casa” sounds better.

1. I did time for stealing an Ipod, but these bad-ass brothers get to kill thousands of people — and the white man show him respek! Now that’s gangster.

Bonus Reason: I guess I can live without rap/salsa.

Chavez and China
By Neil Steinberg

China prepared to legalize private property last week. A reminder of the central glory of the capitalist system. Not the range of cool stuff you can buy, or the wealth you can accumulate, or the way one good idea can transform the culture, no matter how humble the head that cooked it up.

Rather, its central glory is that capitalism works. There is no need to impose it unwillingly on others. People grab for it themselves, to better their own lives. No coercion necessary.

Which underscores the idiocy of Venezuela’s strutting strongman, Hugo Chavez, who when visiting Bolivia last week and trying to undermine George W. Bush’s South American tour, said, “Those who want to go directly to hell, they can follow capitalism. And those of us who want to build heaven here on earth, we will follow socialism.”

Yeah right, Hugo. Because we see how well the state handles the economy in, say, North Korea, as opposed to booming South Korea. Or Cuba. Or your own country, for that matter. I like to give Bush credit where credit is due, and ignoring Chavez is definitely the way to go. Let the facts speak for themselves.

idiota (Don’t like Jews or dogs either);
encostado no governo (Just can’t get enough of that ethnic profiling stuff);
desonesto (Assembling bombs pays better than growing cocaine; “Su casa es mi casa” sounds better;I did time for stealing an Ipod, but these bad-ass brothers get to kill thousands of people — and the white man show him respek! Now that’s gangster);
ou, em suma, democrata (Muslims are the “new black man” and I just don’t feel black enough; How else will the black man finally get to rule the world — without being “articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy” for Senator Biden).

É só me avisar.
sccpmrio#11
