Soccer is a popular Socialist football sport played with a round ball propelled mainly by kicks from a player's foot (...)

(...) In the United States soccer was associated with communism during the Thirties, as several communist organisations used soccer in an attempt to recruit recent European immigrants to their cause. (...)

(...) Think about it. Soccer is the only sport in the world where you cannot use the one tool that distinguishes man from beast: opposable thumbs. “No hands” is a rule only a European statist could love. (In fact, with the web of high taxes and regulations that tie the hands of European entrepreneurs, “no hands” kind of describes their economic theories as well.)

Soccer is also the only sport in the world that has “hooligans”—proletarian mobs that trash private property whenever their team loses. (...)

(...) Another way soccer is the perfect socialist sport is the power vested in the nameless bureaucrats and their ability to never have to answer for their screw ups. This sounds like big government to me for sure.

Consider "stoppage time." In soccer, the official clock does not stop for out of bounds or other play stoppages. No, it rolls on, I guess to keep the carbon footprint of the clock operations low. You see, like socialists, the bureaucrats don't actually want to trust the real movers and shakers with information like, well, how much time is left. It's kind of like not knowing how much longer you can keep your current health plan if you like it. (...)

(...) “I don’t get the baseball thing, but the soccer thing, I hate it so much — probably because the rest of the world likes it so much, and they riot over it, and they continually try to jam it down our throat… It doesn’t matter how you sell it to us. It doesn’t matter how many celebrities you get. It doesn’t matter how many bars open early. It doesn’t matter how many beer commercials they run. We don’t want the World Cup. We don’t like the World Cup. We don’t like soccer. We want nothing to do with it. You can package it any way — you can spend all kinds of money. You can force it on our television sets. We will not enjoy the World Cup.” (...)

Coisa idiota! O futebol é tão socialista que durante a Guerra Fria o desempenho dos países socialistas nesse esporte era uma piada. Tirando a Hungria, nenhum país socialista teve bom desempenho no futebol.

Quem detesta futebol era nerd esquisitão excluído da turma do colégio e que nunca era convidado pra jogar bola no pátio.

Ou tem tendências homossexuais.
